Honest Miles Privacy Policy

Honest Miles is published by JF Companies Inc., doing business as Oakline Media (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how Honest Miles handles your information.

The short version

Your data stays on your device. We don’t require an account, we don’t collect or sell your personal information, and the app contains no advertising, analytics or third-party tracking.

Information the app stores

Your drive log (routes, distances, times, purposes), vehicles (including any VIN you enter), and fuel receipts (photos and details) are stored only on your device. We never receive them.

Device permissions

• Location (including in the background, if you allow it) — used on your device to detect drives and measure distance. Location data is not sent to us or to third parties.
• Motion & Fitness — used on your device to tell when you start and stop driving.
• Camera / Photos — used only to capture or select receipts you choose. Receipt text is read on your device.

Sharing and exports

Information leaves your device only when you choose to share or export it (for example using the iOS share sheet). Where it goes from there is under your control and governed by the service you choose.

Backups

If you use iCloud or device backups, Apple may include app data in those backups under Apple’s own privacy policy. We do not have access to them.

Tracking

Honest Miles does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies and does not use advertising identifiers.

Children

Honest Miles is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Deleting your data

You can delete individual items in the app, or delete all data by deleting the app from your device.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
